Flea & Tick Control

Fleas and ticks can hide in the parts of a yard people notice least: shaded turf, leaf litter, landscape edges, groundcover, and areas where pets or wildlife travel. Titus Lawn Service provides outdoor flea and tick treatments designed to reduce these pests in likely harborage areas and help families feel more comfortable using their property.

What the Service Includes

We inspect the property layout and target areas where fleas and ticks are most likely to rest or encounter a host. Depending on the site and product label, this may include shaded lawn edges, shrub beds, fence lines, beneath lower vegetation, around pet-use areas, and transition zones between maintained turf and woods or taller growth. Treatments are scheduled during the active season and applied according to label directions.

The Problems It Solves

This program helps reduce outdoor flea and tick activity before pests are carried inside on pets, clothing, or equipment. Fleas can reproduce quickly when conditions are favorable, while ticks may wait in vegetation for people or animals to pass. Properties with pets, wildlife traffic, wooded borders, or shaded and humid areas often experience greater pressure.

An outdoor application cannot treat fleas already living inside the home or replace veterinarian-recommended protection for pets. It also cannot prevent every tick from entering a yard. The purpose is to reduce exposure in the treated outdoor environment as part of a broader prevention strategy.

When Service Is Performed

Flea and tick activity can extend across much of the growing season in Middle Tennessee. Service commonly begins in spring as temperatures warm and continues through fall while pests remain active. Mild weather can extend activity, so treatment dates should follow conditions rather than relying only on the calendar.

Recurring visits matter because new pests may arrive on wildlife or pets after an earlier treatment, and outdoor residues decline with time and weather. We adjust applications for rainfall, temperature, vegetation, and label restrictions.

Questions

1

Will one treatment solve the problem?

Heavy infestations or continued wildlife activity may require multiple visits. Recurring seasonal service generally provides stronger control.

2

Where do you treat?

We focus on likely harborage and travel areas rather than assuming every square foot presents the same risk. The exact application follows the property and product label.

3

Can you treat an indoor flea infestation?

This page describes outdoor service. An active indoor infestation may require a licensed structural pest provider along with pet treatment. We can refer you in this case.
